Granny Takes a Trip

This is a box I created as a cold call application to Granny, the Hackney-based reboot of Granny Takes a Trip. I was inspired by their cryptic branding fuelled with riddles and mushrooms as well as their use of upcycling and music paraphernalia. I used a leopard-print shoe box and the sleeve of Robert Palmer’s Clues record to create the box, which I then lined with upcycled foam and velvet. Then I created four clues of my own to represent the different portions of my application. There was a mystical mushroom that housed my cover letter, three postcards detailing the places I have lived, and my corresponding resume for each location followed by my portfolio passport and a daisy that was grown to show my tech skills.
